Johnson County 2000, Inc. is a non-profit corporation, established in 2000 by several community leaders with a vision of promoting economic development in Johnson County. Our organization operates an industrial park at the intersection of Interstate 24 and Illinois 146, and serves as a liaison between local government and business interests.

Our mission is to increase employment and economic activity in the region through community cooperation and by lowering the barriers of entry into our local market. We have several successful businesses operating in the industrial park; we look forward to adding your business to this list:

  • Shawnee Mass Transit District: opened a new headquarters in 2015, investing $2.3 million into our community. Shawnee Mass Transit District is a nonprofit public transportation provider serving Alexander, Johnson, Massac, Pulaski and Union Counties, providing access to employment, healthcare, education, and more.
  • United Contractors of America LLC: UCOA is a contractor metals buying group with offices in the Highly Favored Properties LLC building on Industrial Drive.
  • Highly Favored Properties LLC: new development, located at 45 Industrial Drive, providing commercial lease space. Highly Favored Properties currently has all-inclusive, newly constructed space available.
  • Jennings Enterprises LLC: At 200 Commercial Drive, Back Forty Tractors & Equipment provides small equipment sales, and is a McCormick tractors, Husqvarna,  Hustler, Woods Equipment, and EZ Portable Buildings dealer.
  • Shawnee Winery Cooperative: From 2004 to 2015, the industrial park was home to the Shawnee Winery, making and distributing wine throughout the region.
  • Johnson County Ambulance Service: The headquarters of the Johnson County Ambulance Service is located in the park, providing emergency services in Johnson County and surrounding areas
  • KKP Management & Developers LLC: The 25,000 square foot facility houses a service center for the Jackson Hewitt tax preparation firm.
